Nordic Retreat 2pp Full Spectrum Infrared Sauna

The retreat heats up fast,  typically 10–20 minutes, depending on the season and ambient temperature. 

Our Purewave™ heaters use a patented blend of Mica and Carbon, precisely tuned to emit far-infrared wavelengths between 6–12 microns, closely matching the infrared radiation naturally emitted by the human body. This allows for efficient radiant heat transfer, warming your body directly rather than relying solely on heating the surrounding air.

Unlike conventional infrared panels, Purewave™ heaters also operate at higher surface temperatures, helping create a hotter ambient air temperature for a more immersive, traditional sauna-like experience. All while maintaining low EMF/ELF emissions.

Not all infrared saunas are designed equally. The positioning of infrared heaters is just as important as the technology itself.

Our saunas are engineered to deliver 360° infrared coverage, strategically positioning heaters around the body to provide consistent, even warmth without uncomfortable cold spots.

More importantly, different infrared wavelengths require different distances from the body to deliver effective and safe exposure. Near-infrared emitters can produce intense, concentrated radiation and must be positioned with appropriate clearances to avoid excessive exposure or discomfort.

Unfortunately, many manufacturers prioritise adding more full-spectrum heaters without considering their positioning, often sacrificing valuable far-infrared coverage in the process.

At Nordic Wellness, we prioritise far-infrared wavelengths between 6–12 microns, using carefully positioned Purewave™ heaters to maximise radiant coverage, while ensuring any additional near-infrared technology is appropriately positioned for safe, effective use.

We choose premium Pure Mahogany for its exceptional durability, dimensional stability and beautiful natural finish. Unlike softer timbers commonly used in saunas, Mahogany offers a denser, more luxurious feel while maintaining excellent resistance to warping, cracking and moisture-related movement.

Its naturally rich colour, fine grain and smooth finish create a premium interior that looks as good as it performs. Mahogany also offers excellent longevity, making it an ideal choice for saunas exposed to repeated heating and cooling cycles.

For us, it's about more than appearance. We choose Mahogany because we believe a premium sauna should be built to last, not just look good on delivery.

We’ve designed your sauna to be low to no maintenance. The exterior is already prefinished and protected. If the exterior is receiving constant sun, you made need to reapply a water-based sealant to protect it from the sun.

Inside, we recommend sitting on a towel during use and giving any excess sweat or moisture a quick wipe with a damp towel afterwards. This simple habit will help keep the internal timbers looking pristine for years to come.

The heaters are super low maintenance. When they are not in use, simply wipe away and dust build up.

Every Retreat comes with a 10 year Heater  Warranty. 

Absolutely, it’s something we pride ourselves on. With years in the sauna industry, we’ve built an extensive Australian support network. Most importantly, we stock our spare parts locally in Brisbane, so you’re not stuck waiting months on end for parts to arrive from overseas. Even if you are rural, we have a way to service you.

Our warranty doesn’t cover insurable events or damage outside our control, such as cyclones, flooding, falling trees, fire or other extreme weather events. These are generally matters for your home or property insurance rather than a product warranty.

Prefer to collect? Your sauna can be picked up from our Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne depots.

We sure do! With professional installers Australia-wide, we can take care of the entire sauna installation for you. Installation averages around $500-$750, including setup and removal of all packaging and rubbish. Some Sales events include install to certain areas. Please contact us to if you have a question.

If you have basic skills the retreat is straightforward to install. We provide detailed step-by-step instructions, and you’ll need two people for the installation. If DIY isn’t your thing or you have little to no handyman experience, we recommend using one of our professional installers.

Please note a licensed electrician is required to install a power point for the 3 and 4pp size saunas.

We recommend a solid, stable and level base such as concrete, carpet, tiles or timber . The more level the base, the easier it is to square and install your sauna correctly. We can use packers to compensate for up to 20mm of fall, but anything greater should be levelled before installation. The retreat should never be installed outdoors directly on dirt, grass or in areas prone to flooding.

One of the retreats advantages is its space saving design. It can be installed almost flush against walls on either side.
